Maybe City Needs to Install a Footnote

Yahweh, Allah, Elohim, Adonai, Zeus, Jupiter, Ra, Odin, Frigg, Thor, Marduk, Neneveh, Ishtar, Aphrodite, Venus, Babbar, Cronus, Rhea, Uranus, Satan, Gaia, Poseidon, Hera, Vesta, Hestia, Demeter, ...

Not one of these gods has ever been proven not to exist but most of them are rejected by nearly everybody and many go a bit further and are skeptical of all of them.

The first of our Ten Commandments implies the existence of more than one god but demands that we repudiate all but one of them. The possibility of aliases might make this difficult.

Should the Fargo City Commission provide some guidance, perhaps as a footnote engraved near the bottom of Fargo’s holy monument?
